Ep. 30: 5 Minute Marketing Challenge [Mini Episode Invitation]

You know how much it pains you to hear “I’m not flexible enough to do yoga”? Well, I get that same feeling when I hear “I don’t have time to market my business”.

Trust me, I get it. You’re busy. But there’s one thing that will make or break your business. There’s one thing that will fill your classes or leave them empty and that’s marketing.

Think back to the last time you bought something. Anything. What was the last thing you purchased? And how did you come about purchasing that thing? I bet someone told you about it or you saw an advertisement. Well, that’s marketing my friend. We don’t just wake up in the morning and decide to buy something we’ve never heard of before.

And what about the last time you had an empty yoga class or workshop. Or what about the time you had to cancel a workshop because it didn’t fill up. Oh that feeling is terrible! But if you really think back and ask yourself what you did to promote that class or workshop, the answer is most likely…

  • You didn’t market the class or workshop.

  • You only invited a few people.

  • You thought it was someone else’s responsibility.

But the key here isn’t to point fingers. It’s to recognize that it was marketing that made the difference. No matter whose responsibility it is, marketing is the common thread.

You have to Invite People to the Party

Think back to the last time you hosted a party. Whether it was a child’s birthday party, a wedding, or a Sunday backyard BBQ. How did you tell people about it? You likely sent an invitation of some sort. A paper invitation. An email. A Facebook Event invite. A personal phone call. A text message.

No matter how you invited your guests, you had to invite them. They didn’t just magically know that you were hosting a party, when and where it would be. That’s not the way it works. We have to invite people to parties.

Just like you have to invite people to your yoga offering.

“Marketing will make or break your business. Yes, marketing takes time but it doesn’t have to take all of your time. You can start with just 5 minutes a day.”

Do you want to grow your yoga business?

If you’re reading or listening to this, then the answer is yes. You’re looking to increase your class sizes or add more private clients to your schedule or host a special workshop. You are looking to make more money as a yoga teacher.

Good news = I’m here to help you do that!

But you have to know and fully embrace that you have to market your yoga offerings. Are you with me, friend?

Better news = it doesn’t have to take all your time to market your yoga!

Marketing in just 5 Minutes a Day!

That’s right! You read that correctly, you can start with just 5 minutes a day when it comes to marketing. You know how you meet your students where they are on their yoga mat. You ask them to be kind to themselves and not focus on what they did yesterday or what they hope to do tomorrow. You ask them to focus on today and start with small steps.

That’s what I want you to do with marketing too! Start small and build up from there.

I’ve got a 5-day challenge for you that will help kick start this process. Over the course of 5 days, by marketing your yoga business for just 5 minutes a day, you will make big progress. I promise!
