Success Story: Rosemary & 1200 New Leads

Updated: Sep 18

Success stories aren't always the big, flashy, 6-figure launches that we often see people talking about. Remember, that's not everyone's definition of success so it's important to be grounded in what your definition is.

I want to introduce you to my student, Rosemary and how she reached 1200 new people in her business with ease.

Rosemary's success was in trying something new. She went through my How To Fill Any Offering Workshop (amandamckinney.com/workshop) and followed the process, even though it wasn't something she'd done before.

In this workshop I encourage everyone to ask people for coffee chats so you can learn more about your dream student. This is often met with resistance and quite frankly, people don't do it. But Rosemary did and this is what she had to say:

Rosemary's Success Story Email

"Hi Amanda!

Dropping by to give you an update on my coffee chats (on Zoom). I spoke to 3 women who were part of my school district (I’ve since retired). I’m creating a free webinar, A Teacher’s Toolkit for Stress Release, that will funnel into a 4-week course, Sunday Night Stress Release. Each woman had her own Zoom call with me. I have to tell you, by the end of the 3rd call, my heart was so full. Not only were my 3 former colleagues eager to chat about the subject, they were filled with excitement and enthusiasm for my project, which in turn, lifted my spirits and gave me a boost of confidence. Their insights validated some of my sense of what teachers need, but also added some key talking points around the subject. (Just like you said!) I’ve used their insights to refine my approach. Something unexpected? One woman, who is in a position of leadership in her district, is excited to share my offering to over 1200 teachers on her email list!

Amanda, I would not have tried a coffee chat had I not learned about it from your “Fill Your Offering” course. It has been such a positive experience, and I thought you should know…

Here we go!"

Connection / Coffee Chat Led To Learning

I just love that Rosemary was willing to do something she hadn't done before to see if it would work and it did! By having a few short conversations with people that she knew, she gained:

  • A full heart from the connections themselves

  • A confidence and energy boost

  • Validation of the offering idea she had

  • Key talking points that she hadn't thought to showcase

  • A referral for her program to get it in front of 1200 potential students

Take Away Message / Action

If we're willing to try things, the reward could be great. This is amplified when someone you are learning from says that it's worked for more than just themselves. If you're coach, mentor or teacher shares an idea with you, give it a try.

Until next time, give yourself permission to try new things and grace along the way. I'll talk to you soon.
